what i’ve most enjoyed about making this series is that the process forces me to slow down. i can’t move quickly. each tambourine cymbal, for example, has to be placed separately. can’t rush through it. i become more attentive to my breathing and the necessity for patience. soundtrack: two cycles of Music for 18 Musicians (1976/78) and one cycle of becoming ocean.
